What can I expect to do in this role?In this role, you will:

• provide support to procurement advisors in all stages of the procurement process from planning of the procurement to implementation of the contract
• coordinate approvals and review supporting documents for accuracy, clarity and alignment with OPS policies and directives
• provide support in the preparation of briefing materials and drafting of presentation materials
• lead small scale procurements and second stage procurement process under the direction of the senior procurement advisor
• lead procurement file closeout activities
• advise clients on procurement and contract management processes, best practices, and standards

How do I qualify?Communication Skills:• you have oral communication and presentation skills to provide advice within various levels;
• you have written communication skills to prepare materials such as business cases, briefing notes, analysis, and research findings
• you have demonstrated conflict resolution and facilitation and can convince clients and stakeholders to accept an alternative response to procurement issues
• you have proficiency in using computer applications to conduct research and create business cases and briefing materials

Planning and Organizational Skills• you can use your planning skills and understanding of project management methodology.

Interpersonal and Relationship Management Skills:• You can consult, exchange information, discuss issues, gain support, and liaise with others to seek information and work together on projects
• you have demonstrated team skills to work collaboratively with colleagues
• you have Interpersonal skills and can establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal/ external stakeholders

Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:• you can use different research methodologies and theories
• you can research and evaluate information

Knowledge:• you have demonstrated knowledge of procurement directives and associated policies
• you can interpret and apply related policies
