About Us

We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Pleasant Park Public School. Welcome to Pleasant Park Public School! We are located at 564 Pleasant Park Rd. between Alta Vista Dr. and St. Laurent Blvd. We are a K-6 French Immersion school of approximately 560 amazing students and approx. 60 committed, professional staff. We have a diverse student population who speak many languages with English, Somali and Arabic being the most common. We have lots of PARKING!!

We have a professional, experienced and dedicated staff who do everything they can to ensure a happy, challenging and safe learning environment for our students. Currently we have 6 KG classes each staffed by a French/English teacher as well as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) as well as 24 homerooms. We also have a Learning Support Teacher (LST), a 0.5 Learning Resource Teacher (LRT), Educational Assistants (EAs), Lunch Time Monitors (LTMs) and a fantastic support staff (Office Administrators, Custodians, Library Technicians, etc....) as well as staff from Aladdin Daycare who are here to support our students' academic learning and social-emotional growth. Our grade 6 students go on to middle school at Vincent Massey, Alta Vista or St. Patrick HS.

Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.

Eligibility List

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows: 1) current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by 2) qualified external applicants.
