About Us
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Westwind PS. Westwind Public School offers English and Early French Immersion programs for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6, and is home to a fast-growing, diverse community in South Stittville. Our staff are actively engaged in enriching the student experience academically, via professional development, collaboration and growth, as well as through offering a variety of extra curricular activities. We are student-centred and support a culture of caring through positive connections with our families and those in our community. Our building is two levels of bright, temperature-controlled space, situated on a large property - some of which is in the process of being reimagined with our community partners for the creation of outdoor learning spaces. We are looking for collaborative and innovative colleagues who we can learn with and from.
All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

A minimum of 3 qualified applicants will be offered an interview, including:
1. At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
2. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
