Carleton Heights is an active school within an established vibrant and caring community. We are now a bustling school of nearly 500 students with a very talented staff that is committed to ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment is maintained at all times. This posting is open to all Occasional Teachers who DO NOT already have a part time contract.

Please be advised that our order of consideration for permanent contracts is as follows: current internal permanent elementary contract teacher applicants, current elementary occasional teacher applicants, and then qualified external applicants.

French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be
considered for other French contract positions.

Qualifications
Required OCT Divisional Qualifications: Primary & Junior
Required OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1
Additional Qualifications, Experience, or Knowledge that would be an asset to this Position:
* Spec Ed, Kindergarten and ESL qualification would be an asset
* Experience teaching students with behavioural needs
* Experience working with multilingual learners, students with significant behavioural challenges and students with ASD
* BMS training
Additional Information about this Position:
* Potential for the successful applicant to top up their assignment with Occasional Teaching work including the possibility of working as a Designated OT
* Several students with ASD level 3 in Kinder and several kinder and junior students who require a safety plan.
* Hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1:10pm - 3:35pm & Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:35pm)
