Under the direction of the Principal, the Library Technician:
- Operates the school Learning Commons and provides services in an automated/digital environment to meet the needs of staff and students

Promotes authors, books, literacy, technology and holds special events

Performs administrative functions associated with the Learning Commons and/or school

Coordinates volunteers’ activities

Performs other duties, as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree/diploma in relevant field (i.e. Library Technician, Information Science, etc)
- 2 years of related experience

Expertise with Insignia (or similar library software systems), Google Suite, computer hardware and software, mobile technology, various AV equipment

Comfortable learning and promoting new technologies (3D printing, robotics, coding, cricut, etc.)

Positive team player and ability to work independently as well

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered

The use of a personal vehicle may be required
Status: Casual Library Technicians must be available to work on call during regular school hours.
Locations: Various schools
Salary: Hourly wage of $31.64 plus 4% in lieu of vacation
