Description
You will assist a designated student with activities of a in an inclusive setting. You will work with a teacher to assist this student in an academic setting, while also monitoring and supporting this student when they need a break, etc.
Position is funding based until the end of June 2023 with possibility to continue in the 2023-2024 school year.
PREFRRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Satisfactory teaching experience of students with intellectual/emotional behavioral disabilities- needs.
Participation in workshops/conferences/coursework regarding emerging trends in Special Education (eg, zones of regulation, de-escalation techniques)
Educational background for Educational Assistants or Childcare Level 2 is a minimum.
Experience working with young children in a school setting.
Preference to applicant with Non-violent Crisis Intervention training.
