Full-Time Generalist Teacher
at
Cleardale Colony School
Cleardale, Alberta
Cleardale is a small farming community in the Peace River Country close to the banks of the Peace River. The community is approximately 200 km from Grande Prairie and 80 km from Fort St. John, British Columbia. Cleardale Colony Hutterite School serves students in grades 1-8.
One Full-Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Generalist Teacher is required commencing August 28, 2024. The initial assignment will include multi-grade classes but will be determined based on the interests, experience, and qualifications of the successful applicant. Cleardale Colony School has two full-time teachers and a part time educational assistant with two classrooms (grades 1-3 and grade 4-9).
Qualifications:
Experience and/or knowledge of multi-grade learning pedagogy
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success
Proven ability to differentiate lessons and assessment to support students achievement
Alberta Teaching Certificate is required
Skills:
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents
Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment
An understanding of rural community and culture
Additional specialization in math or sciences at the middle school level is an asset but not required. Division housing may be available to Cleardale Colony school staff.
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62,702 to $ 105,996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
