Peace River School Division
requires a
Part-Time Educational Assistant
at Paul Rowe Jr/Sr. High School
Paul Rowe High is located in the town of Manning, a small farming community situated in northern Alberta about 100 kms northwest of Peace River. The school serves students from grades 7-12 and offers a wide variety of programming to support student learning.
One Part-Time (0.56 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant is required commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be work with students with diverse learning needs in a variety of settings including, one on one and small group.
Qualifications:
Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent is preferred
Experience and/or training with English Language Learners and FNMI learners
Skills:
Ability to work with technology such as laptops and chromebooks
Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records
Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill level, needs and abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work independently
Commitment and accountability
Requirements:
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a Union position under CUPE Employees, Local 4839 Peace River Support Staff.
Rate of Pay:
$20.16 to $25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
