Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.

Peace Wapiti Enterprise Centre (PWEC) is seeking candidates with high professional standards, and who are willing to personalize learning to meet the needs of our students. We invite applications for a Probationary Full-Time Teacher (Jr./Sr. High Math and Science) .

Peace Wapiti Enterprise Centre (PWEC) provides a safe and welcoming alternative for PWPSD students in grades 7-12 who might face challenges or obstacles in pursuing their studies in a traditional classroom environment. In addition, PWEC offers a wide range of online course options for students attending their community school.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Current Alberta Teachers Certificate

You aspire for excellence in all competencies of the Teaching Quality Standard

You are committed to a research-driven professional practice and are able to work as part of a collaborative team.

Your willingness to participate in extracurricular activities is an asset.

The successful candidate will be committed to exploring innovated ways to develop and deliver course content while engaging and motivating students online.

Excellent technology skills and a commitment to providing interactive synchronous instruction are required.

The successful candidate should have appropriate university-level coursework necessary for teaching senior-level Math and Science curricula in an academic stream.
