Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 5/6 Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christian education and a desire to inspire and engage students in a dynamic learning environment. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the BC curriculum. Demonstrate excellent teaching practices using current pedagogical best practices, including effective classroom management skills and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports each student's academic, social, and spiritual growth. Integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of teaching and learning. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Flexible Ability to work closely with staff in a team approach for classroom learning Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities. Establish open and effective communication with students, parents, and staff. Qualifications: Must be a BC Certified Teacher (or eligible for certification). Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred. A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith, to the purpose of Christian education and to the mission of Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Academy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
