We are presently seeking a part-time (~24 hours/week) Facilities & Security Coordinator for our Calgary, Alberta location, responsible for assisting with the overall management of the physical facilities and security compliance activities of Raytheon Canada Defence Solutions (RC-DS) Division.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the Assistant Company Asset Protection Coordinator, to ensure that all fire protection systems, generators, fire doors, electrical systems, security systems, etc. are operational to protect all company and customers’ assets.
  • Work closely with the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department to ensure that all hazards (as they relate to facilities and contractor activities) are identified, corrected and monitored to ensure the safety of employees and assets.
  • Participate in reviewing standards and policies (as they relate to facilities and security) to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility maintenance which includes fault identification, contact and liaison with contractor companies (initially through Supply Chain Management), contractor on-site supervision and coordination, and minor facility repairs.
  • Coordinate all required facility contractor visitor clearance requests.
  • Coordinate review and completion (as required) of all EHS inspection checklists for facilities (i.e. fire extinguishers, suppression systems, GFI plugs and emergency lights).
  • Administrative support and maintenance of records related to facilities contractors, procurement, EHS and building lifecycle. Utilizing the help desk ticketing system, action all facility service requests to closure within a reasonable timeframe based on complexity and priority.
  • Coordinate facilities participation in the Hot Work Program, Sprinkler Red Tag Permit program and Facility Lock-out Program. Ensure that all systems are properly secured by contractors prior to the repair of any system.
  • Serve as Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) and Designated Official (DO), and responsible for oversight of all security measures to implement requirements of the Contract Security Program (CSP) and Controlled Goods Program.
  • Support internal audits to ensure compliance with our Security program and implement corrective actions, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in coordination roles in facility or security management.
  • Participation in seminars, training or courses on facility management.
  • Some experience in asset protection with an understanding of physical safeguards, hierarchy of operational zones and general security.
  • A working knowledge of general building, HVAC, life safety systems and electrical codes relating to facilities operations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Must have high attention to detail/ accuracy
  • Must have strong organizational abilities
  • Strong ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Must have good computer skills with the use of SharePoint and Microsoft programs, such as Word and Excel.
