Raytheon ELCAN is seeking a motivated and skilled Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our talented team. The maintenance technician will report to the Supervisor, Maintenance and will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing and engineering teams by performing maintenance and repair tasks on optical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs eg. Drywall and tile repairs, taping, painting, carpentry, replacement of door locks etc.
  • Carry out outdoor facilities repairs and upgrades
  • Maintain shop and vehicles
  • Transport ordered materials and supplies and maintain inventory of items in stock
  • Assist with preventative maintenance
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Conduct routine inspections, identify issues and perform basic repairs as needed
  • Support equipment upgrades, modifications and installations

Education and Technical Requirements:

  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Industrial, or commercial maintenance preferred
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS and use of PPE
