Reporting to the Accounting and Information Systems Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for tracking, accounting, analyzing and reconciling the Corporation's fixed assets and reserves. He/she will be responsible for approving capital invoices for payment, assisting departments with capital budgets, analyzing accounting reports and implementing new standards or policies. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the preparation of the Corporation's Asset Management Plan. The incumbent will be called upon to participate in the improvement of processes and the preparation of financial information.

Requested skills

  • University degree in business administration - accounting or finance;
  • Two years' experience in the analysis and preparation of asset management plans would be an asset, preferably in a municipal environment;
  • Thorough knowledge of fixed asset management principles and practices;
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and various controls that may exist in the financial environment, particularly accounting standards related to fixed assets as well as fund accounting;
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel), word processing software (Word), collaborative communication application (Teams) and Adobe Pro software. Experience with financial software, asset management software and budgeting software would be an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the Internet in order to carry out the various searches required by its fonctions;
  • Ability to interpret the text of directives and all financial documentation;
  • Ability to communicate easily in French and English (verbally and in writing);
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to do a lot of reading, analysis and make brief summaries.
