The Clinical Nurse Manager directs and oversees the implementation and execution of clinical programs and activities through the engagement of front-line and specialized designated staff. He/she manages all aspects of resident care plan operations to ensure effective and efficient delivery of established standards of care for all residents.

Requested skills

  • University or College degree (RN,RPN) in nursing and knowledge acquired in management-related fields, such as human resources, business administration, industrial relations.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in managing unionized and non-unionized staff, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting, data analysis and HR programs.
  • Possess proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in French and English.
  • Good knowledge of the Long-Term Care Facilities and Rest Homes Act.
  • Basic knowledge of the following legislation:  Workers' Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Act.
  • Thorough knowledge of interpreting and administering a multitude of regulations, laws, contractual agreements, policies and guidelines and collective agreements.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with human resources, accounting and scheduling software.
