Under the supervision of his immediate supervisor, the Child Care Services Educator must plan and implement learning activities for children in the Early ON Child and Family Center by working closely with families, Early Years Services, Inclusion Services as well as community programs.

Hourly rates: $31.08 to $39.77

Requested skills

  • Must have a college degree in Early Childhood Education (2 years) or a degree in early childhood educational studies from a recognized university  (3 years) or have completed a post-secondary program     in child development and family studies (3 years);
  • Be a member of the College Early Childhood Educators of Ontario;
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children;
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and in French;
  • Knowledge of community and agency resources;
  • Sensitivity to people having various social, economic and cultural needs;
  • Have well developed organizational skills in order to prioritize work;
  • Ability to work effectively with teams from various program departments and community groups as well as  representatives from the service sector and related professional agencies;
  • Demonstrate empathy, tact, discretion and comprehension toward the participants and co-workers;
  • Participate in the formulation and drafting of agreements in partnership with community organizations;
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a car.
