Workplace: Prescott and Russell Residence
Schedule: 12 h on day/night rotation and weekend

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of staff in the various departments in the absence of the immediate supervisors of the employees in question, according to his/her shift rotation schedule. He/she ensures the ongoing operations of all areas of the Residence, emphasizing the timely and competent delivery of services to residents. This position is also responsible for filling in for replacing last-minute unfilled shifts.

Requested skills

  • Must have a university degree in a field related to personnel management, such as human resources, business administration, industrial relations.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in managing unionized personnel, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Good knowledge of gerontology and nursing would be an asset.
  • Ability to communicate easily in French and English (oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of the following legislation: Workers' Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Act.
  • Excellent knowledge of how to interpret and administer a multitude of regulations, laws, contractual agreements, policies, directives and collective agreements.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Long-Term Care Adjustment Act, 2021 and related regulations.
  • Good computer skills, Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Familiar with human resources, accounting and scheduling software.
