The incumbent contributes to the definition of quality programs in the programs department (recreational and social activities and therapeutic services). The incumbent is called upon to promote quality improvement through the effective planning of various initiatives and the achievement of quality objectives in order to foster the social integration of residents, and to monitor progress in terms of their participation in the various programs. She provides support to the program supervisor and social worker. She is called upon to support the facilitators and enable the recreational, social and therapeutic activities staff to strengthen program delivery. She will participate in the accreditation process and will be assigned any other tasks required for the smooth running of the department.

Requested skills

  • Must have a two-year college diploma or university degree in recreation or leisure, therapeutic recreation, or other related field.
  • CPR certification.
  • Good knowledge of Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of the long-term care classification system (RAI-MDS) and the Point of Care (POC) program.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and French.
