The incumbent provides clerical and administrative support to the Remuneration Service. The incumbent prepares the payroll for employee groups belonging to S.C.F.P. local 3025 (3025) and AIIO local 042 (AIIO), as well as for Public Works and the Daycare Service. She keeps track of salary progression dates for all Corporation employees. She manages the archiving file according to the current system (TOMRMS) for the Remuneration Service.

Requested skills

  • Must have a two-year college diploma in Administration, Human Resources or any other related or relevant field;
  • Must complete (by correspondence) the Payroll Compliance Legislation course offered by the Canadian Payroll Association;
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in payroll (unionized environment is an asset);
  • Good knowledge in manual and computerized payroll processing;
  • Good knowledge of payroll accounting;
  • Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel);
  • General knowledge of word processing (Word) and presentation (Power Point);
  • Ability to communicate easily in French and English (orally and in writing).
  • Good knowledge of current collective agreements, the pension plan, group insurance policies and the various legislation and Council regulations relating to employees;

A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated no longer than three months prior to the date when it has been requested) and is a condition of employment.
