Prevost, a division of Volvo Group Canada Inc., is currently looking for effective and independent Service Trainer to fill a vacant position within his current team. The location of the position is flexible in Canada.

What you will do:

The Service Trainer has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform all functions relating to the production & delivery of training for our internal personnels & external customers. He assists & provide training solutions to cover the evolution of our product line for both our internal & external customers. This position is key to retain & develop employee’s knowledge maintaining company standard of customer satisfaction.

CORE RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Analyze and track training needs for our North American locations.
  • Provide training on a wide variety of coach systems to include powertrain, electrical, A/C, etc.
  • Plan and execute recorded, online, and in-person training sessions for both internal and external customers.
  • Document and update training records and provide training reports.
  • Review after training surveys and adjust content/schedule according to comments received.
  • Responsible for gathering technical information, build training materials and conduct training in a classroom environment, using audio/visual technology available.
  • Prepare individualized training materials to be used for our products.
  • Participates in a multitude of different industry events, training classes and seminars.
  • Provide customer service while upholding the level of performance and quality of our products to ensure repeat business and continued loyalty of our customers.
  • Assisting in the diagnostic and repairs of the Prevost and Volvo products.
  • Provide training, assistance, and mentoring of fellow coworkers.
  • Be available to answer questions from technicians including support for the on-call.
  • Other assigned tasks.

Requested skills

Required Competencies:

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Be the product expert person for the Prevost and Volvo products.
  • Ability to look up parts efficiently and independently.
  • Proficient in electronic media and laptop use (Technical prints, Parts Assist, bulletins and recalls, SAP, Diagnostic tools)
  • Autonomous and well organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (French and English)

 

Minimum Education Required:

  • Technical School diploma in mechanics, Electrical, Electronic or equivalent
  • 5 years minimum of relevant experience required
  • Knowledge of the Prevost and Volvo products

 

Other Requirements:

  • Valid CDL license (Class B with a Passenger Endorsement) a strong plus
  • Frequent travel Required - including international destinations (USA and Canada)
  • Proficient in MS Office Products
  • This position is remote and can be fulfilled in Canada.
