\nRole & Responsibilities:\n\n
- \n\t
- Maintaining log/reports including, site, production, time keeping, Daily Field Work report, WIP sign offs/status, and associated drawing sign offs.\n\t \n
- Extremely effective at verbal communication to help identify and resolve issues, communicate solutions, and coordinate resources. Provides verbal encouragement and recognition to staff.\n\t \n
- As needed, participate in daily/weekly meetings with Project Team/Managers/Planners and support services regarding planning and progress reporting if the field work will allow.\n\t \n
- Responsible for communicating to the Planner the Working Schedule scope, forecasted activities that supports the advancement of the Baseline and management of site wide resources.\n\t \n
- Responsible to ensure trained and qualified resources are effectively deployed, aligned, and utilized increasing overall productivity.\n\t \n
- Monitor Plan of Day field work assignments utilizing the Daily Field Report and provide daily progress updates against the expected completed work activities to the Project Manager.\n\t \n
- Prepares work permits, leads Pre-Job Briefings and Post Job Reviews, or delegates this responsibility as needed.\n\t \n
- May be required to rotate through an on-call schedule; act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for trades resources to respond to emergent issues after hours.\n \n
\nQualifications / Requirements:\n\n
- \n\t
- A two year Technical or University diploma/degree, or a Journeyperson trades certification with seven years or more experience. This person would not necessarily have to be a Journeyman tradesperson, they could qualify by seven or more years of applicable experience.\n\t \n
- Diploma in Health & Safety an asset\n\t \n
- At least seven years of relevant experience, with at least five years of leading and executing field work.\n\t \n
- Strong project supervisor track record\n\t \n
- Familiarity with construction, remediation, demolition and building maintenance.\n\t \n
- Familiarity with radiological work an asset.\n\t \n
- Proven ability to lead large crews in various disciplines.\n\t \n
- Effective team building and leadership skills to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues and subordinates.\n\t \n
- Self-motivating disciplined and able to work independently, collaboratively and in difficult/high pressure situations.\n\t \n
- Ability to effectively manage change responding to needs as they evolve while maintaining budget and timeline.\n\t \n
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.\n\t \n
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.\n\t \n
- Influences by translating expertise into practical business outcomes.\n\t \n
- Applies critical thinking to make recommendations that pursue sustainable performance.\n\t \n
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements, and to work under pressure.\n\t \n
- Able to prepare accurate resource and cost estimates and schedule, run and report progress on multiple concurrent jobs.\n\t \n
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.\n\t \n
- Demonstrated ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, unusual or hazardous conditions and to lead others in such conditions.\n\t \n
- Good writing skills for report development, daily logs, OTOs (Order to Operate), RWPs (Radiological Work Plan) and work plans.\n \n
