Description Location: Richmond, BC Shift: 45h/week Float - Flexibility needed Pay-rate: $35.71 per hour Requirements: Class 1 license for at least 3 years and a clean driver abstract
Linehaul Driver - Float Position - The Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt, trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts that vary. Must be flexible.
ResponsibilitiesDrive to/from customer locations
Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements
Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations
Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer - 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)
Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
Additional Responsibilities Education ExperienceClass 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of Class 1 driving experience
No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract
Must be a valid, non-conditional driver's license
