Description

As a Revenue Management Pricing Lead, you will serve as the central point of contact on contract pricing and related requests within a prescribed set of sales professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a customized tariff structure for LTL
  • Enhance the freight pricing to utilize multiple pricing frameworks such a net rates and discount off tariff
  • Automate the contract renewal process for LTL
  • Develop a bundling pricing strategy and work with the ERP team on deploying this new framework. Work with other business partners to ensure all LOBs are included in the bundling evolution.
  • Enhance the existing LTL tools to take advantage of ERP changes and new pricing functionalities. Liaison with different functions to ensure changes to tools and process provide support to partner functions.
  • Review existing ERP functionalities and look for opportunities for future enhancements
Additional Responsibilities

• Translating business opportunities and customer needs into collaborative solutions

• Operating within delegation of authority and approval guideline frameworks

• Analysis of risk trends and customer segments, competitive offerings, market elasticity/economic trends, evaluation of structure and product offering, setting of price with finance cost input.

• Synthesizing competitive insights to assess market potential and propose recommendations

• Apply costing to sales proposals and calculate contribution while highlighting risks and offering alternatives where appropriate

• Performing ad-hoc analysis and operationalizing corporate pricing initiatives

• Contributing towards the continuous improvement of processes to help drive efficiencies

• Provide Sales support when requested on customer calls and/or visits

• Other duties as assigned

Education

Graduate business degree with an emphasis in Finance/Accounting

Experience

• Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership

• 5-10 years of pricing/costing experience, preferably in the LTL industry

• Past experience in the Transportation Industry a definite asset

• Bilingual French/English an asset

• Experience manipulating financial information within spreadsheets and relational databases

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

• Have a keen sense of initiative and will take ownership of projects. The role requires an innovative approach to identifying and solving business issues and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
