Welding Teacher

Temporary External Posting 2024-2025 September 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025 Welding Teacher qathet School District invites applications from qualified teachers for a (1.0 FTE) Welding Teacher position starting September 1, 2024. The District serves the educational needs of approximately 3000 students through elementary and secondary (Gr. 8- 12) schools and other educational programs, and employs approximately 400 staff. Qualifications Possesses, or eligible for, B.C. professional teaching certificate. Level A Interprovincial Red Seal Welding certification. Ten years experience teaching welding in an educational setting. Current knowledge of the province's welding curriculum along with a strong industry background. Experience with program and curriculum development and be familiar with CWB and ASME codes and standards. Supervisory experience; leadership qualities; good interpersonal skills; good oral and written skills; and a working knowledge of computers. Current First Aid Certification.Salary The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $61,415 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
