OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

You enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people? As the first point of contact at the Belledune Marine Terminal's administrative offices, you'll meet a variety of personalities every day, making this position as dynamic as it is rewarding.

Join us to contribute to the smooth running of our loading and unloading operations and to the satisfaction of our customers.

TO SUPPORT OPERATIONS DAILY, YOU WILL HAVE TO:

  • Welcoming and orienting truck drivers: Briefly inform truck drivers about procedures, rules and directions on the terminal.
  • Access card management: Manage and track access cards required to enter the terminal.
  • Truck scale data collection: Record and detail each load and movement from the truck scale data.
  • Recording inventory movements: Enter ship and truck arrivals and departures into our in-house software.
  • Reliability of inventory data: Ensure the accuracy of inventory data and balance with supporting documents.
  • Report preparation: Prepare reports for customers, including work sheets and invoices, and respond to e-mail and telephone inquiries.
  • Labor time entry: Record labor hours in our software and balance equipment usage hours for the different projects.
  • Related tasks : Order and manage office supplies, when needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Training in administration, logistics, or any other combination of relevant training or experience;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and French;
  • Computer skills and facility in learning new software;
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel, as well as other elements of the MS Office suite.
  • Customer oriented.
