What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be part of the Strategic Advisory & Process Engineering team for RBC Investor Services (IS). You will operate as a trusted advisor responsible for using business intelligence and analysis to facilitate and deliver strategic business and process solutions that solve high impact issues for IS Client Operations and across Investor Services, while increasing maturity and service quality via people, process, technology, data and client experiences.You will deliver fact-based advisory by helping our stakeholders understand their greatest strategic and operational challenges, identify root causes, and facilitate the identification of value added, sustainable solutions that support business success. Leveraging our extensive toolbox of capabilities, you will support the evolution of IS by challenging assumptions (status quo), identifying synergies, delivering thought leadership beyond immediate solutions, and proactively seeking client/partner/stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement.

You must demonstrate a strong ability to facilitate and collaborate with key partners, understand stakeholder needs at both the senior leadership level and team level, synthesize and communicate relevant data and information to drive decision making, and act with urgency and initiative to lead and support the business through critical strategic change and transformation. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with key business partners across Investor Services and RBC, such as Client Success, Transformation & Client Solutions, Technology, Business Intelligence, and Operations delivery teams who own specific domains such as tax, reconciliation, payments, invoicing, corporate actions, fund accounting, shareholder services, and transaction management.

What will you do?

  • Facilitate and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to problem solve and deliver solutions and outcomes across IS that enhance the client and employee experience while enabling IS to meet key business objectives
  • Develop strategies (vision, objectives, metrics) and target operating models (current state analysis, future state ideation, and prioritized roadmap of initiatives), deliver solutions and/or execute against outcomes as required, and identify process optimization solutions leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools
  • Use data and business intelligence to validate problem statements, drive visibility into processes, target root causes and identify/facilitate/recommend optimal future state solutions
  • Conduct complex internal & external analysis in support of core strategic deliverables; Gather key information across multiple stakeholders & conduct analysis to support building compelling presentations for select engagements
  • Develop business cases, outlining benefits, risks, and ROI
  • Lead the identification of synergies and solutions to drive integration and efficiency for IS within the larger RBC organization
  • Be a strong change agent, balancing future vision with collaborative style to achieve optimal results based on what is needed in a complex environment
  • Quantify and articulate holistic benefits
  • Drive operational/process excellence and the Lean mindset, including supporting the execution of the process excellence strategy for IS Client Operations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 7+ years of experience delivering projects that drive change to business as usual
  • Experience in Internal or External Consulting, Strategy/Transformation
  • Process Engineering background, with a record of strong structured problem solving skills, project execution and proven results driving tangible value
  • Proven track record of driving successful change and adoption in a complex, multi-stakeholder and manual operating environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong executive presentation skills
  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive towards a future state blueprint

Nice-to-have

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training/certification
  • Change Management certification and/or experience with change management discipline and best practices
  • Project Management discipline and experience
  • Masters of Business Administration
