WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

As the Director of Automation Platform Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) at scale across the enterprise. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and infrastructure automation. Current product scope spans from User Experience to Infrastructure API calls.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead the development and delivery of virtualized infrastructure, including VMs, databases, and storage.

  • Drive engineering excellence, focusing on best practices for software development, automation, and operations.

  • Empower teams to achieve high productivity by identifying and removing blockers, promoting innovation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Engage cross-functionally with DevOps, Digital, Security, Cloud, and traditional infrastructure teams to align on initiatives and deliver IaaS with cloud like capabilities on traditional infrastructure.

  • Champion the adoption of modern engineering practices, including cloud-native development, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation.

  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices architecture.

  • Strong experience in DevOps, security, and traditional infrastructure management.

  • Proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing engineering teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

  • A strong understanding of engineering culture and practices that promote productivity, innovation, and collaboration across teams.

  • Working understanding of modern web applications and micro-frontend architectures.
