What will you do?

  • Build the state of the art, highly scalable payment platform as a strong individual contributor in an Agile squad
  • Hands-on application design, coding, unit testing and deployment
  • Liaison with product partners to delivery solution based on clients needs
  • Develop components using java spring boot / REST APIs / Kafka / Azure Kubernetes deployments
  • Develop spike solutions, proof of concept development as needed
  • Work with other non-payment workstreams and perform integration with their components using MQ, KAFKA, REST as appropriate

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years of experience in modern technology development stacks including common cloud platforms using Java, Spring Boot experience, Kafka, Any MQ middleware
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in RESTful microservices
  • Well versed with relational databases (Azure SQL DB or similar) AND/OR NoSQL Databases like CosmoDB or similar & experience with ORM technologies like JPA or Hibernate
  • Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud deployment, and basic infrastructural knowledge to face off with Engg Foundation Teams
  • Can coordinate with a team of offshore developers as needed including payment platform vendor teams to meet sprint development goals
  • Enforce quality standards conduct code reviews, suggest improvements to make code more efficient, review and approve PRs

Nice to Have experience

  • Familiarity developing with Azure cloud environment
  • Knowledge of Elastic Search indices
  • Some expertise on a vendor payment platform like Fiserv, Finastra, Finacle, Volpay, ACI etc.
  • Familiar with common payment rails like Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH and good understanding of payment domain and message types
