What is the opportunity?

As a Manager, Supplier Management, you will have the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team of managers, while supporting enterprise professionals with risk management activities. This position plays an important role providing oversight and advise to ensure the portfolio of intragroup arrangements (IGA) are following regulations and policies. Through this role you will be establishing relationships within Supplier Management Offices (SMOs), Business Units and with Centre of Governance related to the supplier lifecycle and you will be responsible to execute Supplier Management processes and methodologies according to the RBC Third Party Risk Policy and Enterprise Third Party and Intragroup standards.

What will you do?

  • Responsible to identify, manage and execute on required risk management activities and reporting requirements as outlined by RBC Third Party Risk Policy and Enterprise Intra-Group Arrangement (IGA) standards, such as support the completion of suppliers risk assessment, IGA documentation or facilitate required due diligence
  • Drive special projects and initiatives to completion ensuring established timelines are met, scope is addressed, and service standards are sustained
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and effectiveness in the overall process
  • Demonstrate proactive approach to process transformation and optimization with a proven ability to manage implementation end-to-end
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, supplier management offices and other support groups including centers of governance
  • Resolve operational issues, risks and conflicts, work in collaboration with the key stakeholders, escalating where required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree in Business, Supplier Risk Management or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in Canadian or International Financial Services supplier risk/relationship management with an ability to read and understand contracts, SLAs and Risk Assessments
  • High degree of comfort with ambiguity, ability to embrace change, and be adaptable
  • Superior prioritization and organizational skills, communication/facilitation and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with proactive mindset and strong sense of initiative to challenge the status quo

Nice-to-have

  • Project and Change management experience
  • Working knowledge of RBC Third Party Risk Management, Ivalua, Archer
  • Excel vlookup/pivot table
