What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill a junior manager level position within the Trade Expense Management function. This position will be responsible for a small team of individuals ensuring all invoices are received, reconciled and accounted for on a timely basis and in alignment with internal best practices and controls.
What will you do?
- Oversight of a small team engaged in reconciliation and settlement of invoices
- Approving payments and accounting journals, preparation and entry of accruals
- Financial analysis and creation of reports and summaries
- Developing new accounting flows and booking processes
- Define and execute projects to improve efficiency and control
- Liase with stakeholders in front office, finance and other areas of the firm
What you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience leading others in a manager, team lead or equivalent position
- Experience working in an accounting focused role preferably with payments and allocations
- Knowledge of wholesale markets and major execution and settlement service providers
- Highly organized with an attention to detail and an ability to analyze data and summarize results
- Ability to communicate information to trading business and senior management
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL and payment / general ledger systems
