Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBCs Technology and Operations division. GFTs impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Elicit, analyze and document business requirements, business rules and data sources.
  • Understand various product attributes, the overall data flow and perform data gap analysis as required for the product.
  • Communicate requirements to development and QA teams, perform testing, coordinate UAT testing and assist in production implementation
  • Report BA status and raise concerns or issues that may hinder the project progress as planned to management and PMs
  • Contribute to the process re-engineering and process improvement, where applicable.
  • Support users training and documentation as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree or higher, preferable in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance
  • 5+ years work experience as a Business Analyst in a regulated industry with medium to large size systems implementation, system integration, and/or systems re-engineering projects
  • Experience in data sourcing and mappings to cover large scale products
  • Working experience with SaaS products
  • Knowledge of SDLC lifecycle, Agile, others
  • Expertise of JIRA, Excel and Visio

Nice-to-have

  • Experience on Financial Regulatory requirements and governing boards in Canada and the US
  • Understanding of MyComplianceOffice
