What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities team located in downtown Edmonton AB is currently seeking a Team Operations Manager to assist in administering all aspects of the day to day operation of a large advisor team. This is an exciting, challenging role in one of the largest Branches in the system. The ability to learn and grow in this role is vast.


The Team Operations Manager fulfils a leadership role within an advisor team by providing management and employee relations support to the Advisor and Support Staff.


This role is Management and Human Resources related with additional book of business responsibilities and requires the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure of daily deadlines, and keep organized while working under frequent interruption. The Team Operations Manager will work closely with the Advisor and Branch Management and reports directly to the Branch Operations Manager.

What will you do?

  • Manage business and team management with input from the Advisor
  • Manage operations and human resources needs of the team
  • Manage all team operations and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
  • Assist Advisor with all aspects of team HR management including training
  • Client Experience Management and Service Plan coordinator for team
  • Oversee onboarding of high-value clients and act as a liaison between clients, advisor and operations team
  • Manage Information and Technology Strategy and implementation for team
  • Review, update and ensure consistent execution of key team processes

Must-have

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask , attention to detail
  • Professionalism and ability to manage highly confidential information
  • Excellent people skills, ability to manage different personalities, mature/positive attitude
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in full-service brokerage industry in a similar position professional services, finance or wealth management

Nice-to-have

  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook Mail/Calendar
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
