What is the opportunity?

As an Operations Analyst in Global Asset Management, you will partner across business and development groups to support in-house trade and related applications delivering continuous improvement efforts. You will be responsible for timely incident resolution and change implementation. You will also be directly involved in building and supporting our monitoring and alerting solutions for our suite of supported technologies.

What will you do?

  • Monitoring email queue closely and picking up issues/requests in a timely manner. Assessing the priority of the issue and assigning to the appropriate team member following escalation procedures.

  • Utilizing all available resources to perform issue investigation and troubleshooting e.g. documentation, escalations etc.

  • Monitoring and improving the availability of our software solutions and data integration batch jobs.

  • Proactively supporting in-house applications working with various monitoring tools to ensure system stability and prioritize continuous improvement efforts using modern DevOps and cloud technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Azure)

  • Coordinating with global team members across the GAM footprint to ensure system issues are fully resolved. Making recommendations to resolve technical system issues and increase environment stability leveraging our support stack

  • Liaising with 3rd party vendors where necessary for support, upgrades, and maintenance. Following up with service partners when status not provided within guidelines and escalate when necessary

  • Executing disaster recovery exercises for various apps

  • Required rotation 24x7 "On Call" duty. Overtime may be required based on project demand or unexpected circumstances.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • Be self-motivated, autonomous and a team player in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work effectively as an individual and on a team

  • Postsecondary degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training

  • Experience in managing applications on OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry platforms

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. 1-2 years of experience supporting complex, large-scale customer-facing platforms. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with SQL

  • A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. Excellent problem-solving skills. Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively liaising independently with business users, team members, and technical groups. Basic customer service skills and phone etiquette.

Nice-to-have:

  • 1-2 years experience in financial services

  • Prior production support or SRE experience. Working experience with setting up monitoring alerts.

  • 1-2 years of experience with C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies be beneficial

  • Experience in building automated production monitoring and support model, hands-on experience integrating Splunk, Dynatrace, Stackdriver,PagerDuty.com
