Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Information Technology System Analyst to join our Information Technology Services team. The successful candidate will collaborate with the IT Services Team in a solution-focused environment to support the growth of our learning spaces and foster a culture of innovation. The System Analyst will possess a strong understanding of educational technology products and services, provide support to our school communities, investigate and resolve end-user issues, and demonstrate exceptional service skills in a professional setting.

Position: Information Technology System Support Analyst
Location : Montfort Centre (Central Office), 5210 - 61 Street, Red Deer, Alberta Reporting to : Director of Educational Technology
Start Date : October 28, 2024 (flexible depending on the successful candidate)
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining the Division's software systems, using either existing skills or through training provided by the Division.
Support the maintenance of the Division's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, battery backups, and wireless access points.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
Provide on-site technical support to teachers, staff, and students across the Division.
Respond to incoming Help Desk requests using a collaborative team approach.
Collaborate with the Information Technology team to uphold and evolve IT protocols, ensuring optimal learning environments.
Preferred Qualities:
Life-long Learning: Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS), network administration, software installation, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance. A candidate with experience with cloud-based software would be considered an asset
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, able to tailor communication to specific end-users.
Problem-Solving Abilities : Ability to identify and address technical issues with a solution-focused approach.
Collaboration & Teamwork : Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
