The Opportunity
RVS is currently seeking applications for a temporary, part-time (17.5 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at Herons Crossing School starting immediately until June 27, 2025. Monday to Friday after school hours with the exception of 1-2 day shifts per month (as per School Year Calendar). Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator and Building Operator, the Caretaker I provides caretaking services at their assigned Rocky View Schools (RVS) facilities. The Caretaker I is responsible for the housekeeping of school buildings, maintaining contents and furnishings in good appearance and in clean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor.

- Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment
- Demonstrated pride in workmanship
- Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
- Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation
Education/Experience
- Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
- Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset
- Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered
Knowledge/Skills
- Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal
supervision - Effective written and verbal communication skills
