Our expectations

In collaboration with their Manager and various business partners, the incumbent will maintain an optimal level of inventory for product categories and stores under their responsibility.

Your role

  • Participate in the planning, and execution of marketing strategies for the categories under their responsibility
  • Issue, analyze, adjust, and maintain sales forecasts for products under their responsibility using JDA Demand software
  • Prepare promo forecasts for the product category under their responsibility
  • Ensure excellent collaboration between business partners in charge of merchandising
  • Coordinate various activities with stakeholders
  • Analyze and monitor performance indicators (inventory levels, sales forecasting accuracy, turnover rate, inventory budget, dashboard, product status, etc.)
  • Participate in a collaborative sales, inventory, and procurement review and planning cycle (S&OP/CPFR)

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations research, operations management, engineering, statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience in demand planning and inventory management
  • Strong ability to analyze data and make recommendations
  • Proficiency with computer tools such as MS Excel and Access (knowledge of JDA is an asset)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Organizational skills, thoroughness, self-direction, drive, and attention to detail
  • Well-developed business acumen and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with the retail and/or distribution sector (an asset)
