Our expectations
Reporting to the Manager, Design, Styles and Trends, the designer will work on various assignments like trends research, product development and design, as well as the creation of inspiring and functional layouts, highlighting our assortment products.
Your role
- Monitor current trends and styles in interior and home products
- Create graphic presentations to communicate the styles and trends identified
- Design seasonal collections and illustrate design requirements for product development
- Execute product development kits, inspiration boards, and other communication tools
- Work on product optimization with different collaborators
- Collaborate with different teams to support marketing initiatives to achieve sales objectives
- Design and draw aesthetic and functional spaces (2D and 3D)
- Create technical layout plans (residential and commercial)
- Collaborate with different teams by providing design expertise
The qualifications we are looking for
- Degree in Interior Design or Industrial Design with experience in interior design
- At least 2 years of experience in the field
- Experience in commercial design (an asset)
- Experience in research, iteration, and development of large-scale manufactured products
- Knowledge of home improvement and DIY (an asset)
- Good eye, aesthetic sensitivity, creativity, and innovation
- Proficiency with the following applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other 3D drawing software
