Our expectations

The National Account Manager is responsible for sales development and the management of customers with a national agreement within RONA's current portfolio. The client portfolio consists of contracts obtained through tenders from public and government sites for general hardware products and building materials

Your role

  • Research on website (Merx, SEAO, Canoe Procurement etc..) for new business opportunities on new bids and tenders from government organizations across Canada for hardware and building materials supplies.
  • Analyze potential RFPs (Request for proposal) and make bids for those corresponding to the company's products and criteria:
    • Identify the products listed in the RFP available in the Rona selection
    • Search for special order products from Rona suppliers
    • Build price lists according to the company's criteria
    • Prepare all documents required to submit the bid.
  • Plan the integration of new contracts into Rona's internal system
  • Communications with all departments involved.
  • Prepare documents for deployment with customers: program launch, account setup, ordering process, etc.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales of the customer portfolio.
  • Work closely with the outside sales representative team and store teams to support sales growth.
  • Provide sales reports upon request and based on the contractual schedule
  • Special Requests Management
  • Contribute to the achievement of the organization's sales objectives
  • All other related tasks

The qualifications we are looking for

  • 5 years of experience in sales and/or account management
  • Knowledge of the hardware and building material industry an asset
  • Knowledge Government tenders an asset (Merx, SEAO, Canoe procurement, etc..)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Proactive, rapid learner, analytical ability and business acumen
  • Mobility - some travel requires to meet customers and visits stores
