Our expectations

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager - Retail Specialist to join our team in the affiliate retail industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail operations, project management, and affiliate partnerships. This individual will collaborate closely with designers, store planners, and the merchandising team to transition existing stores or new external stores into affiliate stores.

Your role

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, tasks, and timelines for transitioning corporate or new external stores to affiliate stores.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers, including designers, store planners, and merchandisers, to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or challenges that may impact project execution.

Affiliate Partnership Management:

  • Establish a strong working relationship with affiliate partners to communicate project goals, requirements, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with affiliate partners to facilitate the transition process, ensuring a seamless experience for both corporate and affiliate stores.
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by affiliate partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Retail Operations Support:

  • Provide support to retail operations teams during the transition phase, including training and onboarding of affiliate store staff.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure proper product assortment and placement in affiliate stores.
  • Conduct regular site and store visits to monitor progress and address any operational issues.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits.
  • Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to procure necessary materials and services for project implementation.
  • Monitor project expenses and provide regular updates to senior management.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track key performance metrics related to the transition process, such as store sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended improvements.
  • Utilize data and insights to identify areas for optimization and enhancement in future transition projects.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the retail home improvement industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software; Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for site visits and meetings with affiliate partners.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
