Our expectations:

Reporting to the Coach, Day Receiving, the Checker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory received, as well as completing and ensuring the accuracy of all accompanying paperwork.

Your role:

  • Separate articles received per their product number
  • Check to see whether quantities correspond to supplier's delivery slip
  • Take count of cartons and articles individually, upon receiving goods
  • Fill out goods receiving order forms with manufacturers packing list, according to company procedures
  • Check damaged cartons and verify quantities of goods inside
  • Place goods on pallets and perform all other tasks assigned
  • Act in accordance with all current RONA policies and operating procedures
  • Encourage and participate in teamwork and the building's success through a positive attitude
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Commit to upholding our 5 core values

The qualifications we are looking for :

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to handle large quantities of incoming goods
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting
  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Related experience and knowledge (a definite priority)
  • Previous RF experience (an asset but not required)
  • Willingness to train
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Blue Yonder WMS or similar experience (an asset)
