National Role for Multi-Site Distribution Centers

**Locations to supervise and work from:**

- Boucherville, QC

- Calgary, AB

If you have proven experience in WMS (Warehouse Management System), with strong operationals skills focused on continuous improvement. This position offers the flexibility to work and travel from / to any of the three distribution centers, approximately one week per month. Familiarity with Blue Yonder and Exceed WMS is a strong asset, or any other top tier WMS (required).

Our expectations

Reporting to the Manager, Business Processes & Systems -- Distribution, the Specialist, Business Processes & Systems - Distribution, will be responsible for providing operational support for a range of systems and applications used within the RONA distribution network. The incumbent will ensure the continuous training of business users, as well as the coordination and definition of maintenance, evolution and transformation needs of the systems and technologies deployed.

This role requires an ability to integrate knowledge across different new and existing systems. The chosen person will have to demonstrate skills in communication, popularization, and synthesis to be able to translate user needs into technical language when required. The position is primarily based at the Boucherville (head office), Calgary, or Milton, but the individual will occasionally travel to the two other locations.

Your role

  • Provide operational support for a set of systems and applications used within the RONA’s distribution network
  • Represent the distribution function vis-à-visfor systems maintenance, evolution, and transformation projects to ensure optimal performance and quality of operation of the systems
  • Analyze requests for changes, modifications and / or additions to systems and applications,
  • Ppropose solutions to support business processes and actively participate in testing to ensure the quality of technology solutions from a business and user point of view. business and user view
  • Ensure the integration and follow up on approved changes, modifications, and additions in line with business priorities
  • Perform a preliminary analysis on problems and / or anomalies reported by the users of the systems, propose solutions, make the corrections, if necessary, or solicit the contribution of the appropriate support groups
  • Follow up on resolutions for issues, problems and / or anomalies related to business priorities
  • Actively participate in the development of internal training and lead training activities for users, as needed
  • Participate in new implementations, installations, upgrades, and migrations of existing customer systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert and head office resource person for the company’'s support functions
  • MAIN: Provide coaching and support to colleagues in order toto actively participate in their professional development

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor’'s degree in computer science, business administration (operations, logistics, supply chain), engineering, or a related field (required)
  • PRINCIPAL: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in the distribution sector.
  • PRINCIPAL: At least 5 years of experience in a role with progressive responsibilities in the distribution, logistics, or transport sectors
  • Experience in the retail industry, within a large national distributor or transport / logistics service provider (an asset)
  • Stakeholder management skills;
  • Ddemonstrated ability to connect with stakeholders and build collaborative processes, as well as mobilize, coach, and empower peers and other functional leaders by exerting influence
  • Skills for cCritical thinking, problem solving, and decision makingdecision-making skills;
  • Proactive approach, and willingness to question existing processes and propose new solutions
  • Sense of organization and thoroughness;
  • Pproven track record of performing tasks efficiently, on time and under pressure, as well as effectively managing priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use (and / or learn to use) technical solutions, such as warehouse management, yard management, and appointment scheduling systems, as well as business analysis tools. business
  • Demonstrated ability to work with teams from all levels of the organization and various functions in a complex environment
  • Communication skills; Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization and with all business units to persuade and lead others in difficult situations
  • Knowledge of the operating principles of a warehouse management system
  • Experience with Blue Yonder and Exceed WMS (an asset), or any other top tier WMS (required)
  • Ability to travel (within Canada and occasionally the United States) approximately 25% of the time (required)
  • Our Hybrid Workplace Policy establishes that associates need to have a reliable transportation to and from our corporate head office located in Boucherville (Quebec), to come to the office on a regular basis.
  • We require all our head office associates to be proficient in French, spoken and written.
