Become a vital link in our delivery support team at Rona! Use your forklift driving and order management skills to keep delivery operations running smoothly. You'll benefit from a dynamic environment, stimulating challenges and ongoing training in a safe, organized setting.

Your role:
  • Operate forklift, consistently practicing safe operating habits to load and unload vehicles, transport material, and prepare loads for delivery
  • Perform routine and regular preventative maintenance of vehicle, including advising supervisor of required repairs. Complete forklift inspection sheet daily
  • Prepare orders for delivery including identifying, locating and securing material as per shipping memo and completing paperwork
  • Build and arrange customer orders and load onto vehicle giving consideration to safety/security of load, minimizing potential for damage in transport, order of use by customer, and routing of vehicle
  • Follow safe work practises, health and safety policy and procedures
  • Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:
  • Knowledge of wood types/grades and familiarity with seasonal products and storage/damage handling procedures
  • Valid reach truck certificate
  • Prior shipping, receiving, and loading experience is an asset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
