Responsibilities
Grading Quality Control:
Develop, implement, and oversee
a framework and process for moderation and standardization of grading.
Analyze moderation data and
propose and implement recommendations for improvement through
individualized meetings, targeted professional development sessions,
collaboration with school staff and/or the curriculum development team,
etc.
Monitor grading alignment and
provide grader assessments to senior management for performance review.
Collaborate with the curriculum
development team to standardize structures of grading guides to improve
efficiency and consistency of grading.
Manage the updates and approvals
of grading guidelines in conjunction with the curriculum team in response
to collected grading data.
Collaborate with leadership and
the curriculum team to use data to create teacher and partner school
support materials.
Item (Assessment) Analysis:
Develop a framework and process
for assessment-analysis.
Implement analysis for the
following subject areas: English, Social Sciences, and Business.
Analyze large-scale curriculum
assessments strategies using grades data.
Work with the Technology team to
create meaningful reports for recommendations to curriculum and
operations.
Curriculum Support:
Co-lead evaluation strategy and
item renewal development, leveraging data and feedback from grading
management and item analysis.
Pilot new grading items with
teaching staff.
Other Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice to senior
management on approaches to program outcomes and policy objectives
evaluation, and performance management.
Support decision-making
processes by undertaking reviews, evaluation, and evidence-based
assessment of policies, goals, and priorities.
Track and analyze the team’s key
performance indicators and outcome measures to assess progress towards
strategic objectives.
Requirements:
General:
3+ years of solid experience in IB-Ontario
education at the 9-12 level, department head or lead teacher preferred
(English/Social Sciences subjects).
Extensive knowledge and experience in IB and
Ontario curriculum, teaching and learning, with professional methodology
and mindset on academic excellence.
Strong understanding of
inter-reliability/intra-reliability within grading practices and
curriculum.
Proficient skills in large-scale learning data
analysis, insight development, and reporting.
Proven track record of success in developing
methodology and practices to improve teaching effectiveness and learning
outcomes.
Deep understanding of teaching management and
academic measurements in schools.
Strong skills in cross-region and cross-team
collaboration.
Experience working with various stakeholders from
different cultural backgrounds.
Superior verbal and written communication skills
in English; excellent presentation skills.
University degree.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Work-location Policy:
This role is a hybrid position. The candidate should be able to commute to Rosedale HQ office at Markham at least 2 days per week.
