Contributing through its support to the achievement of business unit goals as well as the realization of district goals and objectives according to the vision and values of Sanimax, the laboratory technician must carry out proper analysis of the samples they have collected using the specialized tools and techniques determined. With, among other qualities, a quick learning ability and strong analytical skills, the technician will demonstrate critical thinking in interpreting the results obtained to ensure quality service to customers.

- Monday to Friday - night shift - 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Daytime training for 4-6 weeks (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the application of good laboratory practices and compliance with safety rules
- Conduct quality control tests using specialized tools (ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meters, etc.)
- Work closely on the development, implementation, and monitoring of analytical methods for food and agricultural matrices using appropriate techniques (titrimetry, centrifugation, electrometry, ELISA techniques, etc.)
- Ensure quality control of raw materials and finished products in the plant and/or laboratory
- Verify, document, interpret the results obtained in the laboratory and prepare appropriate reports for maintaining operations
- Support production in the control of various analytical instruments (NIR)
- Perform any other related tasks
Experience, skills, and knowledge:
- DEC in laboratory techniques in analytical chemistry or comparable training
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in physico-chemical analysis
- Experience in the agri-food, food, or environmental field (an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel
- Techniques: Titrimetry, electrometry, gravimetry, centrifugation, partition (solid/liquid), ELISA, and visual color comparison
- Equipment usage: ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meter, fat extractor
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Quick learning ability, resourcefulness, and autonomy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Teamwork skills
