POSITION: Teacher - General - temporary
ASSIGNMENT: Elementary (K-7) Prep. Coverage.
FTE: 0.1
LOCATION: Riverview Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing February 4, 2025 until March 14, 2025, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent, with the possibility of extension.
Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:
Training Specialization: Elementary Education with a specialization at the primary/intermediate level
Related Teaching Experience:
- Demonstrated successful experience at the primary/intermediate level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff
Additional Qualifications: Not required for this posting
Other:
- Teaching curricular classes as prep. for teachers
- Schedule must meet the needs of the school as determined by the School Principal
The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
