POSITION: Junior School Teacher- temporary
ASSIGNMENT: English, Career Education, Social Studies (Gr 8-9), This position has a grade 8-9 Humanities focus (teaching English, Social Studies, and Career Education in Grade 8.) There will be opportunities to work collaboratively within the POD structure. There is also a student support block as part of this assignment.

LOCATION: Quesnel Junior School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing December 2, 2024 until June 30,2025, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent.
Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization:
- Secondary Education with major/minor in English
- Secondary Education with major/minor in Social Studies
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the junior school level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
Additional Qualifications:
- Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in English
- Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in Social Studies
Other: Commitment to the house-based team structure
The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
