VICE-PRINCIPAL

Elementary / Middle / Secondary

We are accepting applications for our Vice Principal Pool as we anticipate vacancies. These opportunities may occur at Elementary, Middle or Secondary Schools.

Langley School District is looking for high-energy, enthusiastic educational leaders who possess:

  • In-depth understanding of BC's Curriculum : Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of implementation of the curriculum at the school level.
  • Expertise in diversified student assessment strategies : Proven background and experience in current and varied assessment methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills : Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across the school community.
  • Proven leadership in education : Successful track record in supporting instruction, assessment, curriculum implementation, and professional development.
  • Dynamic communication skills : Ability to build partnerships within the school community through impactful and clear communication.
  • Comprehensive school management experience : Experience in assisting with the organization, operation, and resources of a school.
  • Visionary leadership : Proven ability to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of a shared vision for the school.
  • Innovative and supportive : Experience in contributing to a positive, safe, and caring school climate.
  • Community and district involvement : Demonstrated skills in working cooperatively with parents, professionals, and community service agencies.
  • Commitment to inclusivity : Proven ability to support children and youth in care, students with diverse abilities, and Indigenous students through tailored programs and initiatives.
  • Adaptability to change : Demonstrated ability to assist in leading and managing change effectively within the school environment.
  • Successful teaching experience : Proven teaching experience with evidence of effectiveness through evaluations or growth plans.

Applicants must have completed or be currently working towards a Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum Development.
