As a result of an exempt vacancy, we invite exemplary administrative professionals to join our dynamic team as Administrative Assistant for Education Services - Priority Practices . Reporting to the Director of Instruction, the Administrative Assistant is an integral member of Priority Practices - a collaborative team of approximately 100 educators and support staff dedicated to supporting childcare, early learning, curriculum (K - 12), professional learning, student events, and research and evaluation.

Applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant will have demonstrated:

A commitment to Equity, Inclusion, Truth and Reconciliation

Effective leadership skills in managing services and operations within a large department

Seamless and efficient implementation, coordination, and execution of all logistical aspects of event planning

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

Knowledge of HR processes, including performance management and safeguarding, as well as coordination of recruitment and selection of support staff

Ability to lead cross-functional teams in completing complex projects within allotted budgets and timelines

Skill in overseeing, maintaining, monitoring, and navigating multiple complex budgets and financial reports

Experience in planning and decision-making based on financial data

Experience in managing and interpreting large sets of financial data

Skill in training staff in budgetary procedures and techniques

Strong leadership and effective supervision of clerical staff - fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high performance, productivity, and adherence to organizational standards

Ability to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances and adjust strategies when faced with unexpected challenges

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Further experience and qualifications may include a diploma in Business Administration or a similar certificate/diploma program, as well as five years work-related experience.

The salary range for this position is $71,538 - $89,422 per year with comprehensive benefits package and Municipal Pension. Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of qualifications and ability to meet the key requirements of the job, and consideration of internal equity comparisons.
