SUMMARY

Reports to and works under the direction of the School Principal or his/her designate. Responsible for the safety of elementary school students using designated school cross walks while travelling to or from school.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of Grade 10, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and vehicle owners/drivers.

Ability to use good judgment when confronted with difficult situations.

Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic road safety rules.

Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Knowledge of WCB and WHMIS regulations. Safe work practices.

Some positions may require the knowledge of a language other than English.
