Description
full-time ELECTRICAL INSTALLER . This position will be responsible
for the complete end to end installation of projectors and display units
including the electrical and minor carpentry; supports low voltage PA
troubleshooting and repairs, and assists in IP-based telephone deployments, maintenance,
and support
IT projects. This position will also
plan and prioritize installations, repairs, and upgrades.
Applicants must have:
· Grade 12 diploma (or
equivalent)
· BC or Interprovincial
Journeyman Electrical TQ
· Certification in low voltage cabling work and
termination connectors
· Four years related
work experience as a Journeyman (post TQ)
· Demonstrated ability
to work on PA systems and IP-based telephone systems
· Demonstrated training
and work experience in current BC construction/maintenance safety requirements
· Valid B.C. Driver’s
License (Class 5)
Applicants are expected to:
· Have thorough
knowledge of construction and construction safety practices
· Possess the physical
condition and health to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job
(including working in crawl/confined spaces, and lifting and carrying heavy
materials/ objects)
· Maintain good
interpersonal skills and have good verbal and written communication skills
Applicants must be:
· Knowledgeable of safety
procedures and materials, methods and equipment related to electrical
·
A self-starter with an ability to organize daily tasks, work
independently and as a member of a team
This position is 40-hours/week, 12-months per year and
comes complete with a pay rate of $42.51 per hour. This position offers a competitive benefits
