Hours: 4.7
hours per day, for all days school is in session for students (Education Assistant)
1.0 hour per day, for all days school is in
session for (Supervision)
Rate of Pay:
$33.69/hour (Education
Assistant) $31.49/hour (Supervision)
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Under
the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom
Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic
health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and
behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, while
supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. Supervision
of a designated area either inside or outside the school, before, during and/or
after school as defined by the terms of the assignment.
This position will require the successful applicant
to deliver a higher level of care.
Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12
plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1)
year’s related experience. A special
program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License.
Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning tools (ie.
computers, etc).
Competition Closes Thursday November 7,
2024 at 4:00 p.m.
